If you've been following the Washington Football Team and are wondering if the last 7 days have been one of those weird, shitty nightmares you get every year around Halloween, I'm here to say you are not dreaming. This just kinda happens every year! Different versions, but it's kinda like Inception..but with bad football.

Dwayne Haskins was benched for Kyle Allen last Wednesday with the Team citing maturity concerns for DH moving forward. Here we go..it's all happening again..QB drama in DC. This week's drama did NOT disappoint.

Once the game settled in Sunday vs LA I quickly realized the offensive line is still a big problem for DC, while also realizing Aaron Donald is still the best defensive player in football. Nothing you can do about that guy folks, just hope and pray he doesn't break the NFL single game sack record on you and move on to next week.

The Kyle Allen show was fun while it lasted. We saw him extend some plays and make things happen outside of the pocket. He threw 9-for-13 with 74 yards and a rushing TD (83.5 passer rating). This was until Jalen Ramsey sent him to the locker room on a booming hit along the sideline right before the 2-minute warning in the first half.

Alex Smith came in and executed the 2-minute drill to bring the Team within 10 points before halftime..But couldn't bring the team any further in the second half. The Rams defense was ready, and the Team's offensive line basically collapsed on itself in the second half.

Smith threw 9-for-17 for 37 yards in his first action since Nov 2018. Smith mentioned:

"It was nice to know you're fine and it was nice to knock the cobwebs off."

The Rams certainly knocked those cobwebs off, sacking Alex 6 times in his season debut.

Aaron Donald had 3 sacks on the day and had this to say after he put his entire 300 lb frame on Smith's back:

Safe to say Smith's long rehab was successful.

Ron Rivera has stated Kyle Allen's arm injury isn't too serious and Allen will start next week.

Washington is now bottom 5 in the NFL in run blocking, and bottom 10 in sack rate at over 9%.

In Week 6 WFT will try to get some mojo back offensively against a putrid Giants defense. Look for Washington to get right against the Giants. They'll need to if they want to get back in NFC East playoff race.
